Roger Federer’s Wimbledon whites. Tennis fashion 2011.

Fa11_TN_London_PRONA_RFederer_3781Roger Federer’s look for Wimbledon is crisp and clean, traditional only in concept as this stuff is super technical; sonic welding means no seams, 4 way stretch and Dri-Fit means comfort and breathability.

I really do like the visual cleanse the all-whites look offers and think Roger is his most elegant, crafty self in the color.

The shirt is a winner in the wide world of polos. It’s called the Nike trophy lawn polo and costs $80. Two reasons for the price: technology and brand Roger.

The laser cut RF (click the pic) at the base of the placket IS sharp and the simple dash of classy gorge green across the shoulder, down the sides, and in the logos picks up on all that Wimby green surround. This shirt would look great with white or black shorts.

There’s hot looking jacket to go with it all as well (look for the trophy knit jacket, $140).

Roger Federer Wimbledon Nike Tennis Shoe

Roger’s shoes are the Nike Lunar Vapor 8 Tour, $120 (I LOVE them) and shorts with subtle herringbone print and ventilation panels, $50.

  1. Bjorn Borg’s coach Lennart Bergelin and Boris Becker’s coach Gunther Bosch are two excellent examples of why Tennis Coaches are vital for top stars and any aspiring tennis professional. They can make the difference and they can make the winners. Their inclusion in any operating budget for a tennis professional is a must. There is only a four years age difference between Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal in this Wimbledon championship and I trust that will make the right motivation for Roger Federer and also make everyone realise the words “current stars” still applies to him too in his superb career so far. Good luck Roger Federer and by the way, Nadal was fortunate at the French! Just Do It!. I use very selected Nike products in my tennis matches around the world and they are genuinely world class.
