LACOSTE announces support of City Parks Tennis free youth programs in NYC.

Access to public tennis courts is tough enough in some places; good instruction for free, just about impossible. Tennis lessons and equipment are little luxuries, facts that often compel talented young athletes to turn to another sport. Lacoste is stepping in to help.

The renowned brand has announced support of City Park Foundation's Free Youth Tennis programs that support over 7,000 New York City youth players. This past weekend was the support kick off. Pictured are some images from around New York's Central Park courts. Jensen Murphy and Denis Kudla were on hand. Fun day.

“We are thrilled to announce our partnership with the City Parks,” said Sophie Lacoste, Lacoste Foundation President, “they have done an incredible job generating awareness and goodwill within the community.  In addition, through their free instructional programs City Parks Foundation is making the sport of tennis available to thousands of kids throughout NYC."

The program offers leveled play for beginners all the way up to intermediate and advanced play through a year-round academy and scholarship program, the newly minted Junior Tennis Academy, Presented by Lacoste. The brand will supply apparel as well.3N7A0859
