UNIQLO launches new tennis fashion line modeled after Novak Djokovic’s US Open kit.
Today, UNIQLO will launch a fresh line of tennis apparel modeled after the performance wear that Novak Djokovic will wear at the 2013 U.S. Open. This is the company's second tennis collection this year. Above and below are two of Djokovic's expected looks for the Slam. Very similar looks to Paris but in bolder colors.
“The 2013 U.S. Open performance wear encapsulates the essence of Novak Djokovic as UNIQLO’s Global Brand Ambassador and world’s top-ranked men’s professional tennis player." said Naoki Takizawa, UNIQLO Design Director.
"The collection captures his calm demeanor as well as his strong energy on the court, in a striking yet unconventional black scheme and includes a mint green color that was chosen by Novak," continued Takizawa. "The red version of his performance wear portrays a sense of passion while incorporating the UNIQLO official company colors of red and white. …[T]he lines are an important design element aimed to help visualize his physical strength and speed on the court.”
Prices range from $49.90 – $59.90. The new collection will include life-wear items for men, women, and kids including polos, pants, shorts, t-shirts, track suits and socks. Find it at US UNIQLO stores and UNIQLO.com
