DIY bespoke tennis shirts, new, from Nu.
Guys, if you’ve ever dreaded showing up to a tennis match wearing the same clothes as your opponent, fear no more. Presenting Nu Formal Tennis Attire, a Florida based brand that lets you build your own performance wear.
The online customization happens three ways. First, the canvas: you can make your creation a polo, crewneck, or v-neck shirt. You then get to pick “body color” from a variety of solid shades and bold patterns (think mod and pop). You’ll grab another color or pattern for the shirt’s collar and sleeves – giving you thousands of possibilities to dress up your tennis closet.
There are some pre-determined combinations assembled by Nu's current featured designer and former pro Vince Spadea. The male fashion equivalent of Bethanie Mattek-Sands lends his hand to bring some sense to this color extravaganza. We like his use of mod in this shirt. All Vince Spadea for Nu shirts come with the Spadea logo – a doodle of his profile complete with trucker hat and curly locks – on the left chest.
Fun as a gift or create something crazy for your team. These shirts come packed in a tennis ball can and shake out and perform beautifully, $50-55 USD
Props to Nu for having information on their website about sponsoring junior players. They highlight some values that they look for in athletes (reflecting their behavior both on and off the court) that have “class, etiquette, and refinement.”
