Djokovic Headlines Johnny Mac Tennis Project Benefit In NYC

World No. 1 Novak Djokovic headlines the Johnny Mac Tennis Project Benefit, Thursday evening at 6:30, at Sportime Randall's Island, in NYC.

Others taking part: N.Y. Rangers superstar goaltender Henrik Lundqvist; actor Edward Norton; Wimbledon Semifinalist Lucie Safarova; Wimbledon, USTA Juniors Champion Noah Rubin; and National College Player of the Year Jamie Loeb.  

The schedule of events: 6:30 p.m., Loeb vs. Safarova; 7:30 p.m., Rubin vs. Djokovic; followed by pro-celebrity doubles featuring Djokovic, McEnroe, Lundqvist, and Norton.

It's all in support of the Johnny Mac Tennis Project, which provides scholarships, coaching, transportation and other financial assistance to qualified young tennis players in the greater New York area, as well as introducing the sport to hundreds of new junior players each year in the neighborhoods surrounding Academy locations.
