Crowdfunding a tennis career.
Making it in tennis requires big money and Takanyi Garanganga, a 24 year old Zimbabwean tennis player, has turned to crowdfunding in hopes of making his dreams come true. Currently ranked 288 in the world, and not on the radar of big brands yet, Garanganga has taken the modern day approach to funding.
His achievements include winning a gold medal in the 2011 All-Africa Games, five future tournaments, as well as reaching two Semifinals and four Quarterfinals on the ATP Challenge Tour. He currently resides and trains in Atlanta and wants to play the Australian Open. Will he be “The Next Face of African Tennis?” It's up to the world now.
