Former World Number One and two-time major winner Amelie Mauresmo has been chosen for induction into the International Tennis Hall of Fame.  Joining her will be six-time Paralympic medalist John Hall of Australia, and tennis industry leader Nancy Jeffett, who has been elected in the Contributor Category.

Mauresmo’s big year was 2006, winning both the Australian Open and Wimbledon.  Two years earlier, she won the Silver at the 2004 Athens Olympics. Currently, she is the coach of Andy Murray.

Hall is the fourth wheelchair player elected to the HOF; earlier in the year he was elected to the Australian Tennis HOF as well.

Induction ceremonies will be held July 18th. Tickets for the event in Newport, R.I. are on sale now.
