Updated: Murray now wearing UA shoes in match play

[social_warfare]download (1)Updated 06/16: Andy Murray’s completed the switch from Adidas to Under Armour (UA), debuting a new UA shoe on-court at the Aegon Championship at Queen’s Club. (Below.) He had been wearing the usual Adidas Barricade, even though his UA deal started in January- the UA shoe has been in development. He and his new shoes are off to a good start, beating Lu Yen-hsun, 6-4, 7-5 in the first round.

Original: We’ve seen some photos of Andy Murray wearing some sort of prototype Under Armour shoe in practice, but it looked more like a basketball shoe re-purposed for tennis. This shoe, however, looks like a….tennis shoe. Notice the sole of this model- clearly made for grass courts as the Aegon Championships at Queen’s Club get underway.

Under Armour is not selling these shoes yet as far as we can see. Tennis is not even a category on their website…Find UA tennis apparel here.
