The Nineties are back…and they brought their shoes with them. Check out this Nike video from the eighties. Looks like they are aiming to do it again next week!

Nike has reissued the Air Oscillate (Sampras) and Air Tech Challenge III (Agassi) shoes, just in time for that big tournament in NYC in a week and a half. This is the Oscillate (available on August 29th) – and there’s an interesting story behind it.
Nike’s Tinker Hatfield invited Pistol Pete to a game of one-on-one hoops, and gave him the Oscillates to try. Sampras liked them so much he wore them for the next seven years. Maybe the upper design reminded him of his old Wilson Pro Staff sneakers?
The Air Tech Challenge III, launched in 1991 as the Air Tech Challenge ¾, included visible air in the heel and a flexible encapsulated Nike Air-sole unit in the forefoot. One of the most noticeable updates from the Air Tech Challenge II was the inclusion of a snug Dynamic Fit sleeve.
The third installment of the Air Tech Challenge line also moved away from the “Hot Lava” colorway made popular by its predecessor, opting for an equally eye-catching, tennis ball-inspired neon yellow pop.
Nike’s media site says this model is available now, although it is MIA on their website.
