Federer, Nadal Nike US Open fashion. Daytime.
Here’s what Roger and Rafa are wearing at the US Open- for day matches. Nike offers night and day styles for its top ranked players. Federer’s day design is busy (for him) with different front and back shirt panels, and the striping. Nadal’s look has the vibe of…a Hi-Liter. Both US Open bound lines (with more items) are available now.
First up Federer. Roger is wearing the Nike Advantage Premier RF Striped Polo in radiant emerald and white. Its minimized collar with three-button placket is a modern take on a classic look.
Bonded, no chafe seams at shoulders, contrast cuffs, laser cut perforations at underarms and back, side vents, and stripes across chest. An RF monogram on the left sleeve completes the look. Note the NEW YORK 2015 branding inside the collar. (Click image to enlarge.)
His shorts are the Nike Men’s Fall RF Gladiator Premier 7″ Short. Not just any tennis short, they are loaded and feature a mesh-lined flat elastic waistband with laser cut perforations (for cooling) on back, front and back darts at waist for a smooth fit, mesh-lined side pockets, stripe with sheen and V-notches at side hems for ease of movement. Again, bonded seams make a difference here as well.
The coordinating RF jacket is below and his day match shoe is HERE.
And here’s a bit of Nadal. We’ve looked at his night look. This Rafa Gladiator crew is his daytime style and is designed to suit Rafa’s physical game and aggressive swing. More no-sew bonded seams, Dri-Fit fabric, laser cut vent holes in sweat zones, mix of mesh fabrics, side vents on hem, and Bull logo at right sleeve. Note the playful gradient color change from green strike to gorge, from top to bottom and back. It’s a popular detail this season.
The Nike Men’s Fall TG Rafa Gladiator Premier 7″ Short features the same adds as Roger’s style above.
