FILA partners with 2015 Div. 1 Champion Jamie Loeb
Fila tennis announced that it had partnered with Jamie Loeb minutes before Ms. Loeb stepped on court at the US Open vs. Caroline Wozniacki. In the multi-year relationship, FILA will financially support Loeb as she chases her dream to play professional tennis.
“We are thrilled to welcome Jamie Loeb to the FILA family during this exciting time in her tennis career,” said Jon Epstein, President of FILA USA. “Jamie’s strong character and competitive drive make her primed for great success. We look forward to supporting Jamie as we play a role in her journey to fulfill her longtime goal to play on the WTA Tour.”

Get to know her: Loeb, age 20, turned pro after a stellar college career at UNC Chapel Hill. She was ranked No. 1 in the country as a freshman and was named the ACC Women’s Tennis Player of the Year in her second year at UNC. She finished her college career as the 2015 NCAA Women’s Singles National Champion.
“I am honored to join the FILA team, said Loeb. “It’s a dream come true to wear the same brand as so many tennis champions past and present, as I embark on my own pro tennis career.”
In addition to representing the FILA brand on-court, Loeb will become a part of FILA’s junior mentor program which aims to inspire the next generation of tennis players by connecting them with professional athletes. Jamie’s experience in the NCAA will give young players an interesting perspective on the transition from the collegiate level to professional tennis. Loeb joins Sam Querrey who has already made junior mentor program appearances on FILA’s behalf in Indian Wells, California, and College Park, Maryland.
As we all know. Loeb lost yesterday to Woz but expect to see lots more of this stellar player embarking on a new career. She is currently training at the John McEnroe Tennis Academy in New York.
