New looks for the Adidas Barricade 7 Novak Pro

One of the cool things about being a top level tennis pro is getting your own signature shoe. As far back as I can remember, Stan Smith and Rod Laver were the first players to get their own shoe, both from adidas. (Remember Stan’s face on the tongue?) Other players included Connors and Evert (Converse,) Lendl (adidas AND Mizuno) and Edberg (adidas,) Boris Becker (Puma) and Bjorn Borg (Diadora.) Players like Agassi, Sampras, Courier and Chang had shoes they were known for, but they didn’t have their name on them.

Fast forward to today. Both Roger Federer and Rafa Nadal have their respective “RF” and “Bull” logos on their shoes, but the shoe itself isn’t named for them. But that’s not the case for Novak Djokovic. He wears the Barricade 7 Novak Pro from adidas..and they’ve rolled out two new colorways that you can see in the below video via our sponsor.

“Grand Slam champion Novak Djokovic helped put the finishing touches on his own special edition shoe. His signature logos are on the tongue and lateral side while the Reiki symbol on the medial side represents energy and protection. Lastly, the mountain printed on the insole is Mt. Kopaonik where Novak met his first tennis coach.”

(Here’s a bit more on his personal logo.) Buy Novak’s signature adidas shoe.
