adidas signs Alexander “Sascha” Zverev


News in player contracts: adidas has signed German Alexander “Sascha” Zverev to its family of players. The former junior world no.1 has signed a head-to-toe deal with adidas tennis and will headline the adizero range.

The 18-year-old is the son of a former Davis Cup player (Alexander Zverev) and brother to Mischa Zverev, a former world top 50 player, and is considered by many to be a future star on the ATP World Tour, with his impressive combination of on court power and aggression.  Zverev climbed from no. 846 to no. 78 on the ATP tour in less than two years after turning pro.

Zerev is also the first 17-year-old to finish in the top 150 since 2003 and was awarded ATP Star of Tomorrow Award at the end of the 2015 season.

Zverev who was just seen at the Australian Open wearing Nike, now joins Tomáš Berdych, Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, Novak Djokovic (footwear only), Caroline Wozniacki, Simona Halep, Ana Ivanovic, Garbiñe Muguruza, Angelique Kerber and more on the ATP and WTA tour.
