Wilson introduces Generation Fast

Wilson Tennis has launched a new marketing campaign called “Generation Fast,” aimed squarely at the tennis playing teen. The thinking here is that if they can spot the most promising youngsters now, they have a chance to stay with them if a potential pro career takes off.

Featured players are Nicholas Garcia from Florida (14 years old)…Hannah Reich of Munich (17)…Ugo Humbert from Paris (17)…and Dong Ju Kim of Seoul, South Korea (14).

It’s all about exposure. The flashy clothing, sneakers and even bold racquet cosmetics are targeting the young audience; Wilson has to compete with clothing and shoe suppliers like Nike, UA, and adidas, and racquet makers like Head and Babolat.
