Nike 2016 Line for Roland Garros Women
Blue is the traditional color of France, very much in evidence for the Nike women’s French Open line. On court, Nike star Serena Williams blasts her two hander in the NikeCourt Premier Dress. A nod to celebrated French elegance, the dress features traditional design elements such as yarn-dyed cuffs, a banded neckline, a blend of blue hues and box pleats, designed to provide mobility. Dri-FIT fabric will help Williams stay dry and comfortable. Très chic. (Keep Tennis Warehouse bookmarked for this line, which is also at nike.com/nikecourt.) (Men’s looks are here, and Nike has also released a clay version of the NikeCourt Air Zoom Ultrafly.)
This is the NikeCourt Baseline Crop.
Leading American pro Madison Keys plays to win in her NikeCourt Premier Advantage Sleeveless Polo and NikeCourt Victory Skirt. Her polo features an updated blade collar and Dri-FIT fabric that helps wick sweat from the skin. The pleated skirt is designed to provide optimal mobility and showcase the body in motion. A waistband borrowed from Nike women’s training apparel couples with an inner ball short to minimize distractions.
When training, it’s the NikeCourt Baseline Tank.
And for her off court look, Serena models the NikeCourt Hooded Vest. This vest delivers warm-weather coverage with an oversized Nike Tech Hypermesh hood.
(Nike has also rolled out a training line called Nike Tech Hypermesh, shown here on Genie Bouchard, of course- wearing the Nike Tech Hypermesh Vest. Visit nike.com/techpack.)
Nike says that this line is a “blend of woven material for wind protection and spacer mesh for optimal breathability. In addition to providing ventilation, the spacer mesh is engineered to deliver modern shaping and an ergonomic fit.”
***** Maria S. is obviously not a part of this season’s French Open promo push. Peut être l’année prochaine.)
