5 must-have summer bags that exude court cool
It’s time to refresh that tennis bag. Many of us are turning to tennis whites this time of year as they really ARE cooler in the sun. Ladies, ditch that dingy fabric bag and up-style your pretty whites with one of my sophisticate picks for summer 2016.
Guys, I’ll do men’s next.
I’ll take what Chris Evert carries. The Chrissie Tote is part of Evert’s tennis fashion collection for Tail. It’s lined in a pale pink fabric with pockets for all your essentials. Stunning with tennis whites and my #1 choice for a summer 2016 tennis bag.
The sleek Cortiglia Brisbane Houndstooth adds class and can handle the dust that clay courts dish out. No worries about putting this down court side (although I’d prefer to see it on a bench).
The Court Couture Vintage Karisa Bag, below, has a vintage feel with all the modern add ons. A cute retro racquet print takes you back to the days of racquet presses and a bright pink lining adds zing to the interior.
I adore this Fila Docena Bag Is it because Borg once carried it one? Probably… but it also reminds me of airline travel bags from the 1960s – they handed them out when you flew. Stuff it full of everything except your racquets (you’ll have to carry them – Borg did too) – you’ll look dangerously hip.
I also really like this super lightweight Have It all Bag by Bagallini. It’s actually billed as a yoga bag but I like that it can do double duty so that you can keep all your workout essentials in place. Straps on the outside of the bag make it easy to carry your mat when you need it.
