Fila at the U.S. Open: Jankovic, Pliskova, Shvedova, Isner, and Seppi
The Open is the final chance of the year for the big clothing brands to present new gear to their consumers. And so it is with Fila, whose new Heritage Collection will be worn by their team at Flushing Meadows. We’ve got more info on the line we previewed almost a month ago. For the Women’s Heritage Collection, black takes the place of navy in their traditional color palette, joining the classic shades of red and white. In all, the line for women consists of six different tops, including four tanks, as well as cap sleeve and ¾ long sleeve styles.
Here are the looks Fila’s pros will be wearing at the U.S. Open:
JJ’s pieces are designed with color-blocked patterns and contemporary blurred stripes to create a flattering silhouette and offer a modern aesthetic. The bottoms, including a pleated skort in red and black color options as well as a black short with a stylish striped belt, allow for easy coordination with any of the collection’s tops.
Two flattering Heritage Dresses (like Pliskova’s, above) with curve-defining cut lines and color blocked patterns, bring a fresh femininity to the classic Fila design. Rounding out the collection is the Heritage Jacket, which steals the show with its high cropped, waist-accentuating peplum.
The Men’s Heritage Collection features a fresh new take on Fila’s staple crewnecks, polo shirts, short, and pant styles. While classic red, white, and blue shades are plucked directly from the brand’s archives, new details such as pinstriped textured mesh, ergonomic seam lines, contemporary patterns, and high-quality stretch fabric give the iconic collection a fresh and updated style.
The line features five different silhouettes of tops, including three crewneck options and two polos shirts. The Heritage Short, offered in both white and navy hues, pairs back to each top. The collection would not be complete without the Heritage Jacket, which now sports a pinstripe pattern and a raised rubber logo.
