The best of women’s tennis fashion | U.S. Open 2016
It’s a good year out there on the court-walk. Maybe a little too much neon but here are my top choices for best women’s tennis fashions at this year’s U.S. Open. Color dominates in fun graphics and color blocking and flawless figures are cut for athletes with no figure worries.
Serena in Nike. Can’t say I’d wear this but Serena and Nike get a nod for pushing the proverbial envelope once again. The world #1 looks powerful and pretty – a stealth bomber with pops of pink – in this unique style. This dress also comes in white (for day) but I really like the strength in this one for Ms. Williams.
Lacoste on Dominika Cibulkova. Stand out, love this classic front and back. Sparks of color modernize this dress nicely.
adidas by Stella McCartney on Caroline Wozniacki. This is my favorite piece from the new Stella Collection. Modern simplicity.
Venus Williams in EleVen by Venus Williams. Simply put Williams looks stunning and supremely youthful in this dress.
Fila on Jelena Jankovic. Classic cut modified for our game’s high level. This could be a Kate Spade number.
Alizé Lim in Le Coq Sportif (via Lim’s Twitter & Jimmy 48 Photo). Alize never disappoints when it comes to her on court style. This kit has gorgeous energy.
adidas on Mariana Duque-Mariño (and Angelique Kerber). The skirt is made with the matching top, headband and shoes. Love it. Really fun.
By the way, Ana Ivanovic wore the same design in a dress of a different color. I like this dress as well and am more inclined to wear this more sophisticated palette myself.
Something of her own creation on Camila Giorgi. Still don’t know who she is wearing, or if her Mom still makes her outfits, but I’d like to get my hands on this particular kit.
Vania King in Minx. This is a Wimbledon worthy ensemble yes, but why not? In the brightest white with a beautifully cut neckline, this dress turns heads and is a smart choice in the heat.
