Fall 2016 Sharapova tennis fashions from Nike
“What might have been” for Maria Sharapova is “What can be” for you. Maria is still offline as far as tennis goes until her suspension is resolved. (She does have a tiny presence in NYC, though – SOME company’s marketing department is a little out of touch with the sport they support.) And since the sportswear companies have to plan months and months out, Sharapova’s Nike gear for the U.S. Open was finalized and produced before her suspension went into effect.
Let’s take a look at what Maria isn’t wearing, but you can! It really would have looked good on the statuesque blonde. It also looks great here on Françoise Abanda!

The bold look and breathable comfort is complimented by ribbed binding, a racerback for increased range of motion, rounded hems and side vents for comfort, submitted printed design all over and a heat transfer Swoosh at center chest. Dri-Fit 85% Polyester, 15% Spandex. Black w/Volt shown, and also available in White w/Volt.
We think these were night and day options. The top is a stellar take on a t back tank – figure accenting with a touch of Superhero don’t you think?
With the mobility of a short and the style of a skirt, the Nike Maria FLX Premier Short is designed for lasting comfort paired with feminine style. These shorts feature box pleats on the front for optimal range of motion, built in compression shorts, flat front elastic waistband and a heat transfer Swoosh at left leg. Dri-Fit 100% Polyester. Black w/White, Light Silver w/Black, White w/Black, and Volt w/Black.
With its lightweight satiny fabric and clean lines, the Nike Maria Jacket is easy to layer and keeps you comfortable and dry on and off the court. The jacket features a soft ribbed collar, cuffs and hem, full zipper entry, front pockets and a heat transfer Swoosh at left chest. Dri-Fit 100% Polyester. Enamel Green w/Black, Dark Grey w/Black, and Barely Volt w/Black.
The jacket? An athletic classic.
It is possible Maria would have selected the Premier Slam dress instead but we like the above styles better.
