Tennis fashion flash | Spotlight on Lucky in Love

This is the second piece in a series looking at smaller brands covering the tennis fashion space. In the first article we introduced Denise Cronwall’s line of sophisticated prints and romantic looks, whilst here we present to you a brand that is equally feminine and fashionable: Lucky in Love.

Launched in 2010 by Brad Singer, an entrepreneur with a background in both tennis and apparel production, the brand is now sold in boutiques and online stores in the US and Europe. A scroll through Lucky in Love’s 2016 lookbooks reveals their widespread use of fringes, ruffles, tiers, layers, pleats and rouches, all of which are fashioned using distinctive materials such as denim, leather and lace.

“Lucky in Love is super fun to wear and always invites compliments. The pieces are designed to be worn best as ensembles not one offs to mix and match although I have had success working their skorts in with other tops.” Karin Burgess, editor TI

My personal favourite is the Fringe with Benefits skirt (above and below in the video) which translates beautifully the movements you make on the court:

Are you feeling the fringe?? 💜 @vik_toia is!

The latest collection to hit stores is Into the Woods, which includes a mixture of tanks, tops and skirts in black, gray and pale lime green that evoke images of shadowy trees. Here are my top picks:
