The art of the draw.
Here’s what happens when a burning passion for tennis crosses big talent in art. Meet Eric Panke, a contributor to T.I. and Senior Art Director for an Ad Agency in Connecticut (T.I.’s home state). Panke was recently featured as a Connecticut creative and we thought you’d enjoy taking a look at his work.
Panke’s game, according to Panke:
Years playing tennis: 36
Greatest tennis accomplishments: “King of the Court” Bloomfield (CT) Parks and Rec., 1980. Followed by “The Drought”. Finally, the spell is broken, Mountain Grove Swim and Tennis Club Mixed Doubles Champion, 2013 (with my amazingly patient wife).
Eric’s game: An often unreliable inside-out forehand and a one-handed, slice backhand (slightly more reliable).
Preferred surface: Knee-numbing hard courts
Racquet: Prince Classic Graphite
Favorite brands: Boast, Fila, Adidas Originals
Favorite events: U.S. Open and The Connecticut Open (my home state).
Tennis guilty pleasure: The Tennis Channel “Bag Check” series. “Oh my god, Ivanovic has hair bands, too!!!”
