Trending in men’s tennis: Matching socks to tennis shoes

Share

Not Jack Sock (although we do like the dude), but socks are trending. Once a lowly black or white, crew or no show item, socks now run from colorful to compression to loud or logo-ed.

Trending now – or coming on strong if you’ve caught inklings of this trend – matching your tennis socks with your tennis shoes.

Rafa and Roger are sporting the look below in Brisbane.

It does look like something Nike is pushing because I’m seeing the trend primarily in men’s Nike kits but there’s also an ongoing rush to classic style from the 60s as well – not to mention logo versions of which there are many.

Here are a few possible combinations using some of Nike’s latest super bright footwear:

If classics are more your style check out Horacio Zeballos in Qatar just recently. His Fila socks are classic good in combination with the shoes, shorts and shirt. Case in point. You don’t need to do brights to look good.

Fila Men’s Matcho Polo / Fila Men’s Fundamental 7″ Core Short / Fila Delirium White/Navy/Red Men’s Shoes / Fila Zephyr Socks White/Blue/Black / Fila Heritage Socks White/Navy/Green

Watch for the trend and express yourself. Socks are the latest chapter in men’s tennis fashion and they really do pull a look together.

  1. A big fan here of the matching socks that Nike has introduced to men’s tennis. They truly add an element of style to the sport.
