Tennis Goes To The Dogs Again In Brazil
The dogs are back in town.
The Brazil Open introduced rescue dogs to their event last year, and they’re back for an encore. (Different dogs, of course.) They will be ball
boys dogs for both the semifinal and final of the Brazil Open tennis tournament on March 4-5 2017. (Use the translate feature of your browser for that one, BTW.) This year will feature Cindy, Nanda, Pretinha, Mia, Arlete and Ovelha, and they’re all abandoned dogs looking for a new furr-ever home. Remember, tennis is a love sport.
“No matter their origin or age, when they are loved and fed properly [rescued dogs] can be wonderful companions. [They can] play, learn new things and accomplish great deeds, ” organizer Madalena Spinazzola said in a release via The Dodo. “They are dogs that have had difficulties in life, yes. But what we want to show is not the stories suffered in the past, rather to prove that, regardless of what they’ve experienced, they can be great companions today and in the future!”
