Fresh New Balance Ready for Raonic, Watson and Gibbs in Paris
New Balance has just rolled out new tennis “courtdrobes” for the Roland Garros clay. These brights will definately pop on the ruddy red backdrop.
Let’s take a look at their shoe line first and then move right into the tennis clothing.
Milos Raonic, Heather Watson, and Nicole Gibbs will all wear the New Balance 996V3, shown here in some brilliant colors. (That white one would get trashed on the red clay, but will be just perfect for Wimbledon, perhaps customized for the pros with the proper pimpled sole for grass.)
Four distinct looks for this shoe that weighs in at 12.4 ounces- in UV Blue/White (my favorite FWIW), Black Plum with Alpha Orange, White with Black, and Lake Blue with Pigment. I’d love to be a New Balance copywriter and come up with the names. That, plus I’m sure there’d be free sneakers. My wide feet would appreciate that; New Balance is just about the ONLY brand making stylish tennis shoes for wide feet.
In Jewel with Firefly, Deep Cosmic with Bleached Sunrise, White with Black, and Deep Ozone Blue with Ozone.
And now a look at the clothing bound for Paris:
I like the nice understated classic look here. See it above on Milos. No stripes or polka dots. Three colors for this style, Lake Blue, Pigment, and White. Made of 93% Polyester and 7% Spandex.
Tournament 9 Inch Short
Here’s the matching short in Pigment or White. In 100% poly.
This is a sleek, body hugging style with a dash of an inky tie dye that does double duty as decoration and waist definition. It looks fun and modern here on Heather Watson. Karin thinks she’ll add ocean blue nails to her kit.
Sunrise Glow w/Deep Ozone Blue & Pigment in 83% Polyester, 17% Elastane.
Available in White, 85% Nylon, 15% Polyester. Lining: 91% Polyester, 9% Elastane.
Deep Ozone Blue w/White or Sunrise w/White, made of 88% Polyester, 12% Elastane.
This skirt offers a summer light, pleated overlay on shorties. Offered in Pigment w/Deep Ozone Blue or White w/Sunrise…87% Polyester, 13% Elastane.
