Karin’s French Open Tennis Fashion Picks

Those that love the look of tennis fashion classics (and that includes me) will very likely agree with Brinke’s picks at Roland Garros. Here are few other noteworthy tennis fashions fresh from the Paris clay.

First up, the guys.

I prefer the way Sascha Zverev wore adidas’ new men’s line, white on top, green on bottom. It’s a much hipper look than matching top and bottom as below on Dominic Thiem. Find it: TW/USATW/Europe

Nike’s powder explosion print looks decidedly modern on cobalt blue and I love the pairing with the solid collarless top. The pieces are just enough of a mismatch to look strong, not pretty.

I also loved Rafa’s look this year. Note how sharp the dark socks look. When in doubt (and allowed) go with black over white. Find it: TW/USATW/Europe

This Lacoste polo on Hyeon Chung. LOVE. Find it: TW/USATW/Europe

The women:

Another stand out classic look, Fila’s Heritage separates here on Karolina Pliskova. Find it: TW/USA

One of the most unique women’s styles was worn this year by Aga Radwanska who sported Lotto’s new camoflower print complete with frilly overlay skirt. Aga wore the dress. I think I’d wear the separates paired with a solid. Find it: TW/USATW/Europe

Things I did not like this go round? Just one, Nike’s scuba style tops with mock turtlenecks. Unless you are super thin and moderately chested just do it say no.

  1. Nice selections. Aga’s dress did not look well in the promotional picture but she doesn’t look like a disaster in action. I like the Nike kit with Borna Coric and Grigor Dimitrov.
