Tomáš Berdych Wears Djokovic’s Tennis Shoes in Wimbledon Match Against Him

Tomáš Berdych battled his way to the Wimbledon semi-finals wearing the signature adidas tennis shoe of Novak Djokovic, one of his opponents in Berdych’s rise through the draw. The adidas shoe is decorated with Novak Djokovic’s face on the tongue and logo on back heel.

Berdych, who has been with adidas for shoes and clothing since the first of the year, was asked about the unusually branded footwear by Australia’s News.com website.

His reply: “…other models don’t fit but Djokovic’s “‘are fitting well and they don’t hurt my feet.” Berdych isn’t the superstitious type apparently. Can’t say to many other pros would do this, especially if they had to wear a player’s brand while playing that player.

It did work out for Berdych. Djokovic retired from the match. Here are some shots of the shoes in question.

We didn’t spot the white/green pair online, but you can get a pair of Novak’s sneakers with his face on ’em: Find it: TW/USATW/Europe
