New Sneaker Collaborations From Adidas/Pharrell Williams/Stan Smith And Nike/Federer/Jordan
Two sets of famous name collaborations are making a return. If you recall, musician Pharrell Williams and adidas released a Tennis Hu set in May. Now they’re back with a second run! Check out these adidas promo shots- this is the “Pastel” line. Choose from colors like Tactile Rose, Icey Blue, Linen Green, and White. These are available now at the adidas.com website.
Adidas gets all metaphysical and stuff with their info sometimes. It sounds pretty Zen to me.
Hu is a belief, a vision based on the first syllable of ‘Human’, seeking to bring us together as people. The spirit of collaboration is empowered by the inspiration in which informs it. At its heart, the Tennis Hu by Pharrell Williams is driven by the essence of inspiration itself; taking inspiration from the past, to create for the present, to inspire the future
Introduced this past spring, the Tennis Hu is Pharrell’s first-ever signature model, combining the clean profile of a court shoe with the proportions of a runner. The sock-like construction and lightweight, breathable mesh upper makes it this season’s most versatile, easy-to-wear shoe.
For this release, the classic Stan Smith gets a color update, which compliments each Tennis Hu offering available in a premium full-grain leather. Key designs feature include single tone-on-tone coloring while others follow the traditional Stan Smith archetype: crisp white leather accented with pops of color.
And now to the next item on the agenda. Remember these from 2014? Well, they’re gettin’ the band back together. The website Sole Collector reports Nike and their Jordan Brand line are creating a tennis shoe that I bet we see at Flushing Meadow. The Nike Zoom Vapor RF AJ3 is reportedly due this month in “Fire Red” on Aug. 21 initially in Europe. In addition, there’s a pair in Black/White/Jade supposedly due in October.
