Behind Federer's classic look- ultimate comfort

Oz_open_federer_pamblack Federer's on and off court style is classic but what's behind it during play-time is the latest in Dri-Fit technology that moves with his every serve and volley. So he didn't win the Australian Open; we all have bad days ehh? He still looks dangerous.

The shirt is Nike's Men's Spring Federer Control Polo. It retails for $65 USD and runs s - xx large in a variety of colors. The shorts are Nike Men's Spring Global Control 9" short for $45 USD small - xx large. They look like traditional tennis shorts with fly front but the stretch fabric, elastic waist and back panel ventilation make these truly comfortable.

Complete the look with Nike's Swoosh Bandanna, perfect for keeping hair and sweat out of your eyes, and a just a tad cooler looking than that old white terry sweatband.

Get the look at www.nike.com or go to www.tennis-warehouse.com.

You'll dig for these socks every time

Thorlo_tv_sock_for_menThese are simply among the best tennis socks we've tried. They wick moisture away from your tired dogs and are so cushioned you'll be tempted to wear them at home as slippers (don't because you'll ruin them). Their padding offers awesome blister, impact and shear protection, especially in the heel and toes, and the change in construction at the arch means no excess fabric anywhere to bunch up.

Thorlo_t_sock_womensThorlos are available for men and women and come in three cushioning levels (with the thickest, level 3, you may need to add a half size to your sneaker). The styles shown here are crew, left and rolltop, right. There are three more styles. $11.99-$13.99 per pair. Your feet will be thrilled. Buy them at www.thorlo.com or Tennis-Warehouse

Jelena Jankovic this pink's for you!

79010411jelenaYes, another dress. But we loved this one from the moment Jelena walked on the tennis court in the first round at the Aussie Open. Have to have it! This one is part of Reebok's Australian Open pro tradition collection and is simply called the Reebok dress with mesh insert. It comes as you see it here on Ms. Jankovic in strawberry ice with white accents or white with black accents. We must have it in pink. The dress retails for $50 U.S.D. and comes with a built-in support bra. Visit www.reebok.com to find a tennis retailer near you. Call before you go to make sure they have it. It's a hot one. You can also find it online at Tennis-Warehouse.

If you like the look but prefer tops and skirts, you can get the same colors and style in the Reebok tank and skirt with mesh insert from the same line. Each piece is $40 U.S.D. retail. While you're at it, the matching wrist band or visor adds a nice accent. All three might be too much, unless you are on tour of course. Image from Reebok.

Infuse your court wardrobe with color

79009712_nvaidisova_3 Dresses are back on the courts big-time and bright colors are all over the Australian Open. Nicole Vaidisova looks gorgeous AND powerful in this comfy dress she's been wearing in the Australian summer heat. We love the way this dress fits and holds tight. Great coverage in front and t-style back. Reebok's seamless dress comes in geranium with white accents and white with black accents. It's available through Reebok tennis retailers nationwide. Retails for $60 U.S.D. Check www.reebok.com Tennis-Warehouse to find a tennis retailer near you.

If you want to look totally put together, they've got a matching visor, wrist band and sneakers as well. Image from Reebok.

Although we really want Sharapova's game, at least we can have her dress

Oz_open_sharapova_final_3 Is it the dress? We doubt it, but Maria sure looks good while playing like an immortal. This dress isn't available in white to the tennis masses but we CAN get it in an ultra chic tweed with white accents. Very cute. Very stylish. It's Nike's Flora Oz Open dress, part of their Maria Sharapova collection. Dri-Fit fabric and built in bra. Retails for $110 U.S.D. and runs in sizes XS-XL. Go to www.nike.com or Tennis-Warehouse to get one for yourself. Maybe it will work wonders for your game too!
