Polo Ralph Lauren has just announced its continued partnership with The All England Club and will be the official outfitter of The Wimbledon Championships until 2015. Look for the line on chair umpires, line and ball persons..no players...except Boris Becker that is.
Becker has allied himself with the prestigious fashion giant apparently abandoning his own personal line of tennis apparel. Here's what's happening and what to do to get some time with the guy:
In celebration of the alliance Polo Ralph Lauren is sponsoring the first ever Legends Clinic, a live 1 hour interactive virtual tennis clinic featuring Becker (decked in new Polo RL tennis wear of course) at Dukes Meadows. The clinic will air June 17 at 4 PM GMT (11:00 am EST) at RalphLauren.com/Wimbledon and on mobile devices.
You are invited to ask Becker a question!
Becker has agreed to answer one or more Tennisidentity.com reader questions. Ask him about a stroke or tennis tactic and he will respond with instruction on court. Cool ehh?
Leave your questions (tennis instruction related only please) in a comment below. Deadline for questions is Tuesday, June 16 at noon EST. Becker will pick the questions he will respond to.
Polo Ralph Lauren's Wimbledon collection recall's the game's elegant heritage: Some of the line is for the court, some reps the lifestyle. For actual play in mens I like the Wimbledon Polo ($90), the side-stripe athletic pant ($125), and the Wimbledon Classic Sport Cap ($49.50). For women I like the Wimbledon Fleece Track Jacket ($125) and track pant ($98). They have a mesh halter dress coming out that is sure to be cute too.
Wonder if Becker will play with a Boris Becker Racquet?
