Roger Federer has a new look for the Australian Open 2011. Nike says it's a combination of modern and craft, a merging of old and new. See video link below.
Old is the dri fit, polo style and RF insignia. New is the button free placket and seamless design. All seams are bonded with no stitching (except collar). The white color is a smart choice for the Australian sun and the bright accents of yellow fun against the more serious and traditional shorts.
Federer's tennis shoes are the new lunarlon Nike Vapor 8 Tour, flywire tech, lightweight, well cushioned and low to the ground. If you haven't picked up a flywire shoe before, hold one next time you are in a store. Compared with many brands these kicks are not going to slow you down.
Swiss detail for the master: Nike has added some little Swiss crosses in the fabric running up the sides of the matte finish shirt. Click to see. Classy.
Prices to come. Available soon at Nike, Tennis-Warehouse as well as tennis retailers worldwide. VIDEO: For even more info on Roger's shoes and shirt and shoes CLICK HERE.
