Loved the tips here. Especially the ones about recreational players still setting long-term competition and training goals. Just because you're not elite, doesn't mean you can't set goals to strive for.

Hi Jeff, Agree! All player levels should find something useful in almost all of the tips. Deliberate practice...not many weekend warriors I know do that. 10 minute warm up before match play is what I see a lot and people wonder why they are not improving.

I agree with what you wrote, "Everyone wants to play up." Players need to mix it up to improve. It does help to play up, but it only helps to a point like you said. If you play up all the time, you will be losing all the time as well. You need to learn how to win and close out matches as well. Thanks for sharing. Very useful information.
