Fila's new womens' Heritage collection combines retro fashion with modern moxie. I love it. Pictured are two pieces from the group that releases with the BNP Paribas and Sony Ericsson Opens. Kim Clijsters and Svetlana Kuznetsova will wear separates from the new collection.
The zesty graphic pulls from vintage Fila archives, an original Fila swimsuit owned by the wife of Pierluigi Rolando (Fila's first designer) to be exact. I can picture it stretched out across one of those classic Bain de Soleil ads. It's all about clean movement, in water, perhaps a wave, on court, a flame.
The group comes in black, white and crimson combinations: skorts, dresses, tops (Kim will wear short sleeves and Sveta, a tank), and a cute, very feminine drawstring warm up jacket that covers the derriere. The red is the rich blue-red that I adore. All of the separates are good court-drobe stretchers as they work well with like-colored solids as well as the matching pieces.
