Steve Johnson, former USC stand-out, has hit the US Open with a new Asics contract, great attitude and a whole lotta' talent.
"You've got to make this like any other tournament...Maybe I'll try to copy Sam Stosur though [fellow Asics athlete]...that's the plan," he said laughing. So far so good, taking down the top doubles seeds Mirnyi/Nestor with partner Jack Sock and a first round win vs. Rajeev Ram.
Dear US Open get this guy a photo.
The well decorated athlete (7 ITA All American awards at USC) says he always wears a hat and prefers a neat (vs. rumpled) look on court. That's it. Easy to please in the fashion category.
Pictured Steve stands with the look he's wearing at the Open which includes a Asics Gel Resolution 4 shoe $120, Court short sleeve in black, $55, and Kalani Short in black or white, $32. Here he's wearing the solid court polo, $50, another clean performance shirt for the guy who prefers white (and neat).
Find it at Asics, Tennis-Warehouse and Asics retailers worldwide.

This is a good post on this topic.
