Lotto launched its Spring '13 line at the Aus Open. First up, the ladies:
Agnieszka Radwanska and Marion Bartoli wore Lotto's eye-catching new SS 2013 Natty Line dress, a sleek, curve conscious silhouette cut with silky performance fabric inset with jacquard in the same color rose.
Ekaterina Makarova wore the Natty skort paired with a short sleeved top.
Cute shorts in this group too:
The men:
David Ferrer wore the brand's new LED line. The top comes as a polo and a crew, $60 and $55. The graphics express the movement of a tennis ball and a spray of gradient lizard green (looks yellow to me) highlights this dynamic looking top. LED shorts are $45.
Find a retailer at LottoSport.com or visit this link for the women's line.
US readers: Lotto tennis apparel is making its way back into the states. Find it all very soon at Tennis-Warehouse and other tennis specialty retailers.
David Ferrer has renewed his contract with long-time sponsor Lotto Sport Italia. Four more years makes this a ten year commitment between player and brand. The Spanish champion is on fire having won seven titles this year; he is now the world #5.
I love Ferrer's new look; it's all from Lotto's spring 2013 Matrix line. Saturated power colors with assertive flourescent accents. Nice on this impressively determined grinder.
Ferrer's shoes here are the Lotto Raptor Ultra III with ReactiveArch, a concave dynamic sole that flexes according to the natural movement of the foot. His racquet is the Prince EXO3 Tour (another very recent contract renewal).
Find Lotto apparel and shoes via lottosport.com. Tennis-Warehouse carries the shoes and some apparel. 2013 apparel is not out yet.
Agnieszka Radwanska continues her steady climb up the WTA ranks with a win today at Wimbledon against Heather Watson. She is currently #3 in the world.
I had expected to see Aga in the tennis dress pictured here from Lotto's SS12 Eryn line, which she wore at Roland Garros. It feels very grass court elegant to me. Instead she's gone back to the Muse style she wore in Australia earlier this year.
She looks good either way but I'd rather see this one at All England.
Lotto apparel has very limited (if any) apparel availabilty in the US.Find a European retailer at Lotto.
Congrats to David Ferrer who won the 2012 Heineken Open in Auckland for the third time. He now takes Lotto's winning Trail Line kit to the Australian Open.
We've been looking at a lot of knock out brights for spring and the new Trail Line group has huge blasts of it as well (see the pink crew inset below). Ferrer's AO look however is dosed more subtly. It's a great option for those who prefer classic performance solids but want to add just a bit of modern. There's a great looking navy polo in the group as well.
Pictured here is the bright white Trail crew neck accented by deep navy color blocking and sweeping fluorescent blue and navy brush strokes that mimic the arcing swing of a strong player.
Both shirt and shorts are made with poly ottoman, a fiber that contributes to very lightweight garments that breath and move well.
Ferrer's shoes are the Raptor Ultra III offering reactive arch technology, breathability and durability.
Find it at Lotto and soon at Tennis-Warehouse and tennis retailers worldwide.
Agnieszka Radwanska of Poland wore her new tennis dress from Lotto's Muse line in Sydney this week. It's what's planned for her at the Australian Open as well. Love the geranium color (color left is best rep).
The muse dress, as it is called, is characterized by performance material and cut, easy to wear lightness and a hint of fluorescence. The silky fabric, wide bottom ruffle, tucks under the bust and tonal jacquard inserts at neckline shoulders and back make a sport-savvy dress look feminine and elegant. I suggest a good t-back bra so as not to look saggy.
Other tennis players wearing items from Lotto's new Muse line will be Francesca Schiavone and Marion Bartoli. Included in the collection are a tank, shirt and skirt in geranium or white.
The players will all wear the new Lotto Ultra III shoe. New anatomically kind technology going on here: a Reactive Arch moves as your arch does, Syn-Pulse for cushioning and smart materials placement for breathability. I like them with the geranium laces best.

Marion Bartoli has just signed a three year agreement with Lotto Sport Italia. She will wear the brand both on and off court (apparel, shoes and accessories) and yes I have that fact confirmed by Lotto.
No more funny business. Bartoli has resembled a brand chameleon over the course of 2011, starting in Nike, switching to Under Armour (which she told me in person she had moved to), back again to Nike and finally, above, at the WTA Championships in Lotto. Not sure what has been going on but details have finally been tidied up.
Bartoli is France's number 1 (world #9). She joins Agnieszka Radwanska (#8) and Francesca Schiavone (#11) in Lotto tennis apparel. Talented crew.
As to finding Lotto apparel in the US, it's coming back!!! The new Spring Summer 2012 apparel collections will be sold at a number of online tennis retailers including Tennis-Warehouse.
Lotto has confirmed that Agnieszka Radwanska of Poland has signed with the Italian brand. The fast rising WTA talent had very quizzically been without an apparel contract for months.
Currently in Tokyo at the Toray Pan Pacific Open (in the finals) Radwanska has been wearing the lightweight Lotto Dress Missy in irid cocktail (pictured here, left) or a gorgeous irid inchiostro (a dark blue, see inset below). The line is a pretty blend of technical features and femininity for women who really want both. The gown-like criss cross neck detail, ruffle hem and use of iridescent-effect colors, make these dresses unique in big brand tennis fashion.
As for shoes, Agnieszka is wearing the Raptor Ultra II W. It is a combination of technologies: a ReactiveArch which is said to be the the first dynamic sole to ensure maximum cushioning of impact forces, stability when planting the foot and reactivity during thrust.
The shoe is also enriched with a cushioning system called Syn-Pulse that insures cushioning thanks to the extension of the cushioning structure up to the forefoot and provides excellent torsional stability during lateral movements.
The dress is currently available in Lotto stores worldwide. Find a store at Lotto. The brand has very limited apparel distribution in the US. The shoes are available at Tennis-Warehouse.
David Ferrer hit the clay in Madrid wearing Lotto's handsome new Graphic Crew and Short. Sergiy Stakovsky, Ferrer's next opponent, did the same. It'll be an all-Lotto event. Looking forward to seeing what they show up in tonight.
The white with cyan shirt pictured here (taken in Monte Carlo) also come in Fanta orange and white with black accents. It's available as a polo as well. The crew cut and neckline mimic the style of a soccer (aka football) jersey, something I've seen becoming popular on court since 2009.
The top is $43 USD and shorts, $40 (elastic waist and built in brief). The discreet dotted graphic on the shirt is also at the top back of the shorts. Nice touch. The coordinating wristbands are $23
So what'll it be guys? Maybe they mix up the color scheme a bit but the blue and white does look sooo good against the clay.
You saw this tennis outfit on Francesca Schiavone and Ekaterina Makarova at the Australian Open. The white tee and skirt are from Lotto's new Spring Summer 2011 range, the performance oriented Missy Line. Both wore Lotto's new Raptor Ultra II shoes as well.
White is obviously a smart color choice for Australia's summer sun and it actually stood out amidst all of the brights on court down under. Pretty and clean looking, traditional with a twist. The inset ruching down the front and feminine cap sleeves with hint of puff picks up the skirt's hem detail. A fun take on basic white.
Lotto's womens Missy Line will also be available in a peachy looking Irid Cocktail. You will see it at Roland Garros.
Find a retailer at Lotto. Lotto apparel is not currently available in the USA. Too bad because I really like their mens Bat line this season.
It took Robin Söderling just 77 minutes in the finals against Gael Monfils for his first career Master's 1000 crown. "It feels great, I don't have a very good record in finals, and especially here in Paris," said Söderling. "It's great to reach the final in a Grand Slam and also in a Masters Series. But a final is that one match you really want to win. I'm really happy that I played well today, and now I'm here winning the title"...and holding the most macho trophy in tennis (I add).
Söderling is the first Swedish winner at Bercy since Thomas Enqvist in 1996. "I think you need to believe in yourself, that can make a big change," he added. "I'm feeling really good right now, and I'm going to have one or two days of rest and then prepare for London." Go Robin.
Söderling plays with the HEAD YouTek Prestige MP and wears Lotto apparel and footwear. He wore their 2010 Fall Winter Fluid line in Paris. His shoes are their Raptor Ultra.
Look for him in new for 2011 apparel from Lotto's Bat Line at the London Masters.
Find a Lotto retailer at Lotto Sport. There are none in the US (bummer). Learn more about YouTek here on the HEAD website.
Lotto sponsored tennis players Rohan Bopanna and Aisam-Ul-Haq Qureshi, Indian and Pakistani respectively, have been working all year to promote peace through tennis. Together with Lotto Sport Italia and the organization "Peace and Sport,"* Bopanna and Qureshi have flagged this initiative using t-shirts and jackets with the slogan “Stop War, Start Tennis.” They have worn the line during training sessions and pre-play since Wimbledon.
Rohan and Aisam have been friends for over ten years and have very successfully teamed up as doubles partners for the last three. Their respective countries have lived in a situation of unease and tension in the region of Kashmir since it won its independence from the British Empire in 1947.
Peace and Sport emphasizes how much sport unites, as highlighted by the two players’ partnership. The two tennis stars took the initiative to promote peace through sport after having noticed that communities from both countries forget hostility when they support them in international competitions. With the message “Stop War! Start Tennis!” Bopanna and Qureshi remind us that sport is a universal language that facilitates dialogue, going beyond political, racial, religious, ethnical and social differences.
Robin Soderling and Francesca Schiavone are wearing the shirt and jacket in this video to support their fellow Lotto colleagues.
Not available to the tennis masses, but I think they should be. Never enough peace in my book.
*“Peace and Sport, L’Organisation pour la Paix par le Sport” is a neutral and apolitical international initiative. It is based in the Principality of Monaco and placed under the High-Patronage of HSH Prince Albert II. Peace and Sport puts sport and its structuring values at the heart of development projects led within communities in crisis around the world. With interventions in areas of post-conflict, extreme poverty or lacking social cohesion, Peace and Sport makes sport a vehicle for tolerance, respect, sharing and citizenship at the service of sustainable peace.
Tsvetana Pironkova of Bulgaria surprised the tennis world by knocking Venus Williams off the road to the Wimbledon finals. Today Vera Zvonareva stopped HER climb.
Pironkova's apparel is all lotto from Italy. Other WTA players wearing the line include: Maria Elena Camerin, Anna-Lena Groenfeld, Ekaterina Makarova, and Francesca Schiavone (Schiavone you may recall won Roland Garros this year) to name a few. Robin Soderling, David Ferrer and Xavier Malisse are among the men wearing the line.
I really like this top and skort; both are lightweight and artistic looking, athletic with an ethereal twist because of the pretty layers of performance mesh and thin stretch fabric. Pironkova's shoes are the lotto primacy. I'd buy the look if I could.
Lotto is hard to find in the US. Sadly there is a growing list of tennis apparel brands not selling here. Call a friend in Italy or visit Lotto Sport for more info..
David Ferrer and Gilles Muller have freshened up for spring with new 2009 Lotto. Bright white is always a classy looking on-court choice that makes sense under the sun. Lotto has added signature pop with color blocked accents of aqua blue. I love the "epaulets" on Ferrer's shirt. No word yet on the to-be-released apparel line's fabrication and prices. We'll let you know.
The similar looking Lotto Men's Effect Crew and Polo are currently online at Tennis-Warehouse.
Both Ferrer and Muller are wearing the Lotto Syn Raptor X-treme Speed tennis shoe, MSRP $125. Learn more at Lotto.
Midas wore golden shoes; these are cooler. Very different for the player who likes to be. Never would have picked them off the shelf but on-court, hmmm. We decided to take a look.
What we discovered was a very light, immediately comfortable shoe with no break-in needed. They felt very low to the ground, fast with good traction. There is cushioning in the heel but not a lot of arch support so if you've got a high one, you may need to add an orthotic or try something else. These are the Lotto Syn Vanity Shoes, $79.95 USD. Combine them with the Lotto Women's Vanity Tank ($36.99) and Skirt ($29.99) for the complete look below on Maria Elena Camerin. Buy at Tennis-Warehouse or Lotto.
David Ferrer did his sponsor proud with his April win in Valencia. Color was everywhere looking pretty spectacular atop the rich clay surface. Here, left he wears the Lotto Men's Kontact Crew ($36.99 USD) and Kontact Short ($29.99). Below, he wears the short sleeved Lotto Men's Effect Crew ($42.99) a shirt we have been seeing more of, most recently facing Nadal at the Open Seat -- a color coordinated couple of guys in their teal headbands and tops. The Effect style also comes in a sleeveless version that runs $36.99.
Lotto's tennis wear features the lastest in fast drying fabric combined with strategically placed ventilation panels both in front (on the Effect style) and back (on the Kontact Style). Very cool for lots of reasons.
