That multi million dollar smile, above in Istanbul at the 2013 TEB BNP Paribas WTA Championships, comes with years of hard work. This woman has been playing high level tennis since the Reagan administration. She's deserves every penny.
In a season highlighted by winning 11 singles titles, including two Grand Slams, Serena ended 2013 ranked World No.1 and set a record in prize money earned. She is the first female tennis player to surpass $12 million in a single season.
