Tennis Identity

Head, shoulders, knees, toes + racquet. Melanie Oudin goes all Wilson tennis.

Melanie Oudin in Wilson 3 Melanie Oudin has left adidas to hang with her long time racquet sponsor Wilson. Oudin will begin wearing her new Wilson court-drobe and footwear in 2011 and will continue to play with the Blade, although switching to a new pink cosmetic in the Blade 98 Pink BLX.

“Wilson has always provided me with the latest technology and…best racquets for my game,” said Oudin. “After meeting with the team, I knew that Wilson had both style and design…created for high Melanie Oudin Wilson 1 performance tennis players.” Wilson's 2011 collection combines visual energy and dynamic color with intrinsic technical features that ensure their products both look good and move well.

“Melanie’s energy on the court and winning personality are exactly what Wilson represents. We know her style and authenticity as a player is a perfect match for us," said Claire Ortiz, Global Business Director of Apparel and Footwear (and the person who designed the line).

First big stop in '11, the Australian Open.

Pictured top left, Oudin wears the new La Divine Tank, $48 and Skirt, $45. Her tennis shoes are the black and pool combination 2G Tour Vision, $110. This is her day combo for the Australian. For night she may wear the La Divine dress in deep lavender, $72 (I say may because she's really not a dress girl and she may go with the separates in the purple hue).

Pictures right she's wearing the Garden LS pullover, $50 and woven shorts, $40. For more info, check out my earlier posts on the apparel line and racquets.

No more shoe slogans… She'll have to write it them on her hand. I'm gonna suggest, Let's go!

Find a retailer at Wilson or buy online at Tennis-Warehouse.
