Marion Bartoli signs with Lotto. Seriously.

Marion Bartoli has just signed a three year agreement with Lotto Sport Italia. She will wear the brand both on and off court (apparel, shoes and accessories) and yes I have that fact confirmed by Lotto.

No more funny business. Bartoli has resembled a brand chameleon over the course of 2011, starting in Nike, switching to Under Armour (which she told me in person she had moved to), back again to Nike and finally, above, at the WTA Championships in Lotto. Not sure what has been going on but details have finally been tidied up.

Bartoli is France's number 1 (world #9). She joins Agnieszka Radwanska (#8) and Francesca Schiavone (#11) in Lotto tennis apparel. Talented crew.

As to finding Lotto apparel in the US, it's coming back!!! The new Spring Summer 2012 apparel collections will be sold at a number of online tennis retailers including Tennis-Warehouse.

  1. It’s good to see that at least one tennis apparel brand, Lotto, has noticed that there are a couple of talented but ‘unsigned’ women in the top 20 who could promote their tennis gear. It’s a mystery why Agnieszka hasn’t had a sponsor for so long, but Marion could be a bit of a challenge to the Lotto designers as she can look a bit frumpy at times.
