Serena Williams Stars In New Film To Celebrate Diversity Of Women

Throughout her career, Serena Williams has used sport as a platform for progress. It’s no surprise that with Serena’s return to the court for her first tour-level match this week at Indian Wells, she is using the moment to once again stand for equality.

I want people to understand there is no wrong way to be a woman. We shouldn’t be made to feel like we have to act a certain way because we are women and we shouldn’t be made to feel like we need to fit into the same box. We are all different and we should celebrate those differences. -SW

That thought is reflected in a new film, “Until We All Win,” that recognizes International Women’s Day (this Thursday, March 8) and features Serena. it debuted last night during the Academy Awards:

People can take action across the U.S. by advocating, donating or fundraising for Girls Inc., which inspires more than 50,000 girls to be strong, smart and bold, or by becoming a mentor for young women in their local communities through MENTOR, the leading national organization that ensures quality youth mentoring relationships and connects volunteers to opportunities in their communities.
